I Converse with My Soliloquies !

My Life is a string of broken Promises

And a chain of unending Compromises;

As a little girl I believed in the Premise

That my life’s beauty will Epitomise;

All opportunities I strived to Optimise

Much goodness I thrived to Eulogise;

Eons ago my happiness did a sudden Remise

And now I try and fail to feebly Reprise;

Can I break free of these unending Compromises ?

Will my life ever be a bouquet of fulfilled Promises?

*

Never is the answer I firmly Surmise

Because left in me is just severe Bruise;

My twilight is on a hurried Uprise

But to me this fact is not a  Surprise.

  1. Never say never.. you are too young to give up on life.. Leave the sadness behind and walk towards your brilliant bright future..will write in detail when i get a chance

  2. High Quality English… But the problem for layman like me was that by the time I understand the meaning of a particular word, I lose track of the meaning of the whole poem… So will need to read again…

    Appreciate the creativity…. “My twilight is on a hurried Uprise” - a very very creative way to say the “rise” of something that is actually “going down”…. WOW…

    But …. the problem is that I know this person… I know that all these words are not just creative output but output from the bruises in her life… That troubles me… As the other commentator/critic has surmised, the author has to come out of this gulf… So STOP ‘Soliloquing’ with your unfulfilled promises… Start your conversations with the bright future… Get ready to welcome it. As I always say “there is no other option”.

    CHEERS

  3. Had to read several times to understand well. Great expressions…

    Bruises are all temporary and I believe the pain will fade off eventually and disappear. You have bright future waiting with 2 little great blessings. I know 10yrs of painful life is not short, but be glad it was only this much.

    Be optimistic… and never say never to anything…. I always believe in possibilities. So be ready to welcome the possibilities and make sure you don’t miss any opportunities.

    You are naturally happy and cheerful person who can make others also happy, so don’t lose that great quality in you and don’t lose any confidence in you. You are capable of many things that others lack. So…don’t deprive, be positive and look into the great future.

  4. A brook. Standing on the middle, watch the water. Water a slender garment. A Wave? No. A rise? No. A fall? No. A small hop. Hop. Hop. Hop. And the wind stops. The brook laughs.
