Indifference

It is not a victory I yearn

It is not a defeat I’ll mourn;

Deserted me has my hope

No tears left in me to wipe;

Brevity in my life is the norm

Levity only can tackle this harm;

No more have I any wish

I hereby my emotions abolish;

I feel like an abandoned orphan

And don’t care to know fate’s plan;

I am feeling withdrawn from humanity

And far removed from this profanity;

Each one has a ‘role’ to play

But, I am no more in the fray;

Am I being hopelessly diffident?

No, I am just dejectedly indifferent.
