Let Me…

dawn at the beach

                          A Dawn at my Favourite Beach

Let my soul meditate in this dawn

Before the day breaks this serenity ;

       Let my feet play in this wave

       Before it with hesitation recedes ;

Let my curls dance in this breeze

Before a stifling stillness sets in .

Let my being drench in this shower

Before the passing cloud flies away ;

      Let my hands hold this bubble

      Before this fragility  bursts ;

Let my eyes delight in this rainbow

Before it dissolves into oblivion .

Let my silhouette  glow in this moonlight

Before it in the morrow wanes again ;

      Let my tresses be ador ned with  jasmine

      Before we in the cold night  wither   ;

Let my ears enjoy  nightingale’s song

Before it momentarily fades away .

Let my broken heart throb in music

Before it cedes to a frozen silence ;

      Let me savour this fleeting moment

      Before it appends to my sad past ;

Let me experience a transient peace

Before teasing eternity embraces me .

One Response to “Let Me…”

  1. The unexpressed emotions have been expressed with a deep heart that has undergone troubled past it seems. But each new dawn ushers in hope of the new day as the previous night has past leaving with it whatever came by. One has to pick up from this hope and move on. The poems are extremely well written for the literary content, the flow, the thought, the simile and the depth of emotion. Can the same poem be written with a new hope of life that each day brings with it and not be appended to the past? Positivism and hope keeps the human being moving in life and if one had to live by the past, there is no end to the self-wallowing and the melancholy that it brings with it. Cheer up and be alive to the current surroundings and express your literary endowment with more cheer, joy and happiness.
